My mother, My Idol
Everyone in the world has someone that they idolize and look up to. An idol is someone
that you really admire, they may be a singer, an actress, or a supermodel. For me, my mother has
always been my number one idol since I was born. She is now fifty years old. She has always
been a great mother. She loves her family very much.
She looks like a Filipina. My mother is really beautiful with her brown skin and short
brown hair. She has a heavy shape and medium height. Even though she is starting to get
wrinkles around her eyes, she is still the most beautiful woman in my eyes.
I admire her the most because she possesses qualities that one should have in order to
become successful in life. I admire her because she is intelligent, humble, patient, hardworking,
and has many goals in life. My mother is not a nurse nor a caregiver but she is great in taking
care of people. My mother took very good care of my father ever since my father had a open
heart operation when I was not yet born. She took care of my grandmother and grandfather when
they both got sick for a very long time until they both died peacefully in their sleep. She was also
still a government employee at that time so she was very busy. I am amazed on how she could
juggle both her work and family in her hands. Even though she is very tired, she still manages do
to everything with a smile on her face. I never heard a single complaint from her.
She is always willing to give a helping hand to those who are in need. Even if she isn’t
wealthy, she is still willing to help others, even financially. It was also her tradition to do charity
works on her birthday. She once held a feeding program for the elderly in Kiwanis, home for the
aged. She always puts the need of others before herself. She has always been a humble and
patient person. She also supports me in everything I do. She helped me boost my self-esteem and
confidence in myself. She was also not strict with me, she never even scolds me, instead she
consoles me and tells me about her own failures and how she was able to learn from it. She
makes all kinds of sacrifices just for the sake of her family. She is my source of inspiration and
strength.
My mom has always been the one that can I rely on, the one that I know will never turn
her back on me. She has been my light in my darkest times. She was my shoulder to cry on. She
was the one that helps, hugs, listens and cheers me up. She will always be the one that I admire
and love the most.
