“ART-VOCACY: EXPRESSION TO HEAL”

GUIDELINES FOR SOCIALIZATION


In cognizant to the continuous pursuits of DOH-TRC Tagaytay City to provide a holistic
treatment among inpatient/ residential patients, the socialization with a theme, “Art-
vocacy: Expression to Heal” was created with a specific goal of offering an avenue for
self-exploration, discovery and appreciation among recovering drug dependents through
expressive arts.
Expressive Arts are as follows:
1. Painting
2. Expressive Writing
3. Theatrical Play (Musical and Dance Presentation)

PAINTING
1. The painting/drawing must be on a ¼ illustration board.
2. Acceptable tools of drawing include pencil, crayon, water color, paint, oil paint.
3. The painting/ drawing must not include words or slogan.
4. Name and dorm of the participant must be put at the back of the painting.
5. Make it as artistic and creative as possible. No theme required.
Note:
*All patients can join the competition. Submission of paintings will be 3 days before
the culminating activity of this month’s Socialization.
* Each patient is allowed to have a maximum of 2 entries.
* The schedule of creating your art is every Responsible Interaction or any free time.
Mondays and Thursdays during Group Encounter can also be used.

EXPRESSIVE WRITING
1. Everyone can participate in the activity.
2. Any form of writing is allowed (example: poem, essay, prose)
3. Medium can be in English and/or Filipino.
4. Only one entry is allowed per patient.
Note:
*Submission of writings will be one week before the culminating activity of this
month’s Socialization.
* The schedule of writing is every Responsible Interaction or any free time.
Mondays and Thursdays during Group Encounter can also be used.
* The chosen entry will be presented by the author on the Culminating Activity

THEATRICAL PLAY (MUSICAL AND DANCE PRESENTATION)


1. Has no minimum number of participants per dorm.
2. Use of fire as props is prohibited.
3. Background music / musical instrument can be used.
4. It can be of any genre (comedy, action, drama, etc.)
5. Minimum of ten (10) minutes but not exceeding fifteen (15) minutes.
