Ironing/Folding/Stacking Systems
On-premise laundries with limited floor space can now enjoy the productivity
and quality of high production drying and ironing with the added convenience and
accuracy of built-in automatic folding, crossfolding, and stacking in less than half
the floor space previously required. Tri-Star finishing systems are designed for Ironing
those laundries without sufficient room for a separate ironer and folder. In
addition to the ironing quality of Chicago’s well-respected 32", 28", or 24"
(800 mm, 700 mm, 600 mm) diameter heated roll ironers, Tri-Star systems offer:

• State-of-the-art CHI microprocessor-directed air pulse folding with up to two

primary folds and three crossfolds

• Attached stacker and conveyor for added labor savings and versatility

• Exclusive Chicago High Intelligence control with easy-to-read message

screen, custom programming capability, and diagnostic features for ease of
operation and reliability

• Available in a choice of gas or steam heated models

• Optional four lane primary folding of pillowcases and other small pieces

A Quality Finished Package
After washed linen is placed on Tri-Star’s input
conveyor, it is dried and ironed by the ironing
section’s large heated cylinder. Linen then moves to
the folding section (patterned after the Chicago
Skyline folder) where timed air pulses perform
precise primary folds and crossfolds to deliver a
neatly finished sheet or tablecloth with hidden
selvage edges to the left side receiving shelf or
in stacks on the optional stacker and conveyor.

CHI Makes It Simple

Chicago High Intelligence microprocessor monitors
ironing and folding functions, displays all production
data, and alerts operators of production interruptions.
CHI also automatically selects the correct number of
primary and crossfolds for all sizes of bed and table
linen to eliminate the possibility
of manual selection errors. If
needs change, CHI automatic
mode parameters can be easily
altered or folds can be made in
a manual control mode.
