they have two children, who are still living with them, namely kim egaña, 23 years old and still
single. her eldest child is bon anderson egaña, 32 years old, married to lili ven egaña, 30 years

their family income. altogether, the egaña family earns approximately 19,000 pesos a month.
their monthly expenses are approximately 15,000 pesos which is distributed to electricity and
water bills, foods, and needs of mark samuel who is still an infant. the excess of 4,000 pesos is
being spent impractically on their wants.

The family is currently residing in Brgy. holy spirit for free. their house is made out of wood and
concrete. it has no specific room for sleeping and is overcrowded. Their house ventilation has a
fair rating, and their lighting facilities utilizes electricity. The family owns a television, transistor
radio, electric fan, and refrigerator. The means of communication in the household are
cellphones, radio, and television. The most observable accident hazard in the house is the
improperly placed cable wires, which are prone to short circuits that may lead to fire. Household
pests and breeding sites of vectors are present inside the house.
Their source of water is from Maynilad while their drinking water is being bought from a purifier
water business thrice a week. Their food is stored in a refrigerator. The garbage is uncovered and
is collected every Monday and Wednesday. They own a pour flush system of toilet and has an
open drainage system. They have a pet dog which is a mixed breed.
The community’s sanitary condition is dirty and congested. It has a health center, school, market,
barangay hall, drug store, basketball court, church, private clinic, and a barber shop. The
available health care providers are doctor, nurse, midwife, BHW, trained hilot, and albularyo.
The community’s mode of communication are radio, cellphone/telephone, internet/computer, and
television. Tricycle, bicycle, taxi, and private cars are the modes of transportation in the
community.
There is no illness in the family for the past 6 months but they suffered from coughs and colds
for 2 weeks and fever for 3 days. They consulted a doctor in the health center and ask for a
proper medication. The doctor then prescribed Paracetamol and advised to increase fluid intake
and provide a tepid sponge bath on sick family members. Fe Egaña has been diagnosed of
Hypertension and is taking a maintenance drug. She also has an Elevated Cholesterol, Diabetes
Mellitus, and CKD but is not yet taking proper medication for it. The adult members in the family are
being stressed because of financial problems.

Bon Anderson is the only family member who drinks alcohol for the sole purpose of socialization at
least once a week.

The family eats four times a day. For breakfast, they usually consume bread and coffee. At
lunchtime, they eat rice, vegetables and fish. They eat bread again for PM snack. For dinner, they
eat rice, vegetables, and fish. They mostly cook their own food, with the ingredients bought from wet
market and seldom buy food from carinderia.

The children in the family have complete immunization status. The family rest and sleeps well.
Zumba is the exercise done by Kim, Lili Ven and Fe however Bon Anderson does not value the
importance of exercise so he stays at home to take care of the kids. The family consumes vitamins
and attends regular check-ups every 3 months. Fe sleeps while Kim, Bon Anderson, and Lili Ven
play mobile legends for stress management. The family’s source of health information are from
health center, media, hospital, and brochures.

Lili Ven took pills for one year but changed it to implant contraceptive because she is currently
