INTERVIEW ENGLISH

The Interview (Script)

In this file, you have to create the script or dialogue for your “job interview”.
Example: one member of the group (the employer) asks questions to one
candidate for the job (candidate 1), he asks the same questions to the other
candidate (candidate 2) at the same time. In parentheses write the location.
Example:

(In the office)

The employer: Welcome to “RMA Company”, it’s a pleasure to have you here, I’ll
make you some questions to both of you and at the end I’ll decide who will get the
job.

The employer: Good morning.


Candidate 1: Good morning.
Candidate 2: Good morning.
The employer: What is your name?
Candidate 1: My name is Pedro.
Candidate 2: My name is Pablo.
The employer: How old are you?
Candidate 1: I am 27 years old.
Candidate 2: I am 30 years old.

Now, make your script or dialogue. The text must contain 200 words at least.
Use simple present in most of the dialogue. Do not add pictures.

Employer:

Good morning ladies. I appreciate your assistance to the selection process for the position
of Human Resources Manager.

My name is María Julieth Monroy and I would like to know if you know anything about
our company...

Candidate 1:

Good morning, my name is Carolina Fernández and the information I know about the
company is that it is dedicated to the transportation of merchandise nationwide.

Candidate 2:

Good morning, my name is Samara Gil and I also understand that the company is a freight
transport company and they have branches in several cities.

Employer:

Well, certainly Transports Integrals de Colombia is a company created in 1994 and


dedicated to transport textile goods throughout the country.

Let's now turn to the formal part of the interview.

Please tell me a little about you, with whom you live, where?

Candidate 1:
Well, I am single and currently live with my parents in Villas de Granada. I am studying
Human Management in the SENA and I also advance studies of English in an institute. Last
year I finished my baccalaureate.

Employer:

Please, you Zamara...

Candidate 2:

Thank you, I am single, I live on August 7 with my mother, and my father died 3 years ago.
I also live with Fabian, who is my younger brother. I finished my baccalaureate in 2017; I
am currently studying Business Administration at Uniminuto.

Employer:

Well, what are your expectations about the position we offer...?

Candidate 1:

Well, my expectations are mainly about the knowledge and experience that I can acquire in
the area of Human Talent, this topic has always seemed interesting since it allows me to
have direct contact with people and at the same time develop all the knowledge that I
acquired during my studies.

Candidate 2:

I consider that the position can bring me great experiences and a lot of knowledge to
complement what I am learning in my studies. It is also important to have a job that allows
me to continue with my studies and my financial responsibilities.

Employer:
Well ladies, the process for the selection should continue with the presentation of some
written tests of knowledge and skills, for which I ask you to please go to the meeting room
so that we can continue the process.
