Coastal Conservation Research Program Intern May 2019 - August 2019
• Completed an independent research project on diamondback terrapin nesting mound usage and barrier fence
effectiveness
• Executed property patrols and roadway patrols to collect data on the terrapin population and remove terrapins
from roadways
• Implanted PIT tags in healthy terrapins and removed eggs from deceased female terrapins
• Gained experience working with reptiles, birds, and horseshoe crabs
• Worked in a team setting with other interns to perform animal husbandry tasks and other research

• Assisted with ecotoxicological experiments for five hours a week for independent study
