Vernal Pool Habitat Assessment- Project Lead

Conducted Phase I habitat assessments in accordance with NJDEP's Land Use Regulation Program-
Freshwater Wetlands Vernal Habitat Protocol.
Collected GPS locations with Trimble unit and displayed results in ArcGIS maps.

Rare Species Report
Identified the presence or absence of rare species on NJARNG properties.
Analyzed data and created GIS figures from historical land use data and present vernal habitats.
Interpreted land-use and habitat data to construct management recommendations for rare and

Monitoring Well Survey
Surveyed NJARNG wells to confirm location and ensure compliance with standards set by the NJDEP.
 Inspected wells for internal and external damage, measured well and water table depth, and checked for
proper identification tag.
Water Quality Sampling
Collected over 200 potable water samples at NJARNG sites for lead and copper analysis.
Entered data into Excel result tables for formal report.
Wetland Delineation Army National Guard Facility
Identified species of upland and wetland plants within the forest strata.
Determined presence of hydric soils using auger and Munsell Soil Color Book.

Cultural Resource Sensitivity Mapping
