GENERAL COMMENTS
The Site Welding Coordinator is responsible for the overall quality of the welding operation in
line with ISO 9001:2008 with respect to process control. This responsibility extends to the
logistic control and overlooking of welding records that must be produced by the Quality Control
department. He should not involve himself in daily routine inspections that are the responsibility
of the welding inspectors. He must however ensure by spot checks that these inspections are
adequately carried out by the inspectors and sufficient coverage is provided for all the site
welding activities.
