A recent survey conducted in Pimpri-Chinchwad indicated high caries

prevalence amongst 5-6 years children. Children were fond of

chocolates in-between meals and some were habituated to having
milk with sugar at bedtime. Children brushed once in the morning.
The mothers who were homemakers of these children were not
aware about oral hygiene. The school teacher did not emphasize on
importance of teeth and their functions nor about teeth and its care.
