IntelaTrac PKS, designed for remote work
force management, allows field personnel
to integrate high-quality field inspection

PKS provides control system information

when it is needed. DocuMint FED is an
easily customized solution that meets any
automated calibration activity. The FED
application also provides a common system
to document and analyze any plant asset.
IntelaTrac PKS Automates
Collection of Field Data
IntelaTrac PKS combines wireless handheld
computers, state-of-the-art software
and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
technology for automating field data
collection, improving data integrity, and
managing assets intelligently.
Communication and operational perform-
ance is improved at all business levels
through modified work processes and
cultural change. IntelaTrac PKS increases
productivity by providing efficient access
of field collection data. IntelaTrac PKS is
integrated with Honeywell’s Alert Manager
application, an open-decision support
system, and the DocuMint PKS system
for calibration and asset information.

IntelaTrac
PKS also
integrates enterprise
asset management systems
and supports a wide range of portable add-
on devices, including temperature probes,
vibration guns, ultrasonic nondestructive
test devices and calibration devices.
Using IntelaTrac PKS, work process
management software can be carried on a
handheld wireless computer to perform
operator rounds, data collection and
inspections. The rounds can be automatically
scheduled and downloaded from the
Experion PKS control system, instruments
can be identified, and data can be validated
using RFID tags. Data collected can then be
automatically uploaded from the field for
use by the system, control room operator,
and engineering and instrumentation
technician. Supplemental data on
equipment, such as MSDS sheets and
operating instructions, can be accessed
in an asset-centric and context sensitive
manner to reduce work and waste.

Access to Control System Information
Mobile Station PKS comprises a powerful
family of solutions that relay control system
information to remote users where and
when needed. Each solution is optimized
for specific customer applications, ranging
from read-only access over the Intranet
by multiple casual users, to secure system
access for mobile operators. Mobile Station
PKS solutions simplify security and minimize
performance impact on the control system.
Additionally, Mobile Station PKS takes
advantage of existing displays using
HMIWeb technology to eliminate costly
and error-prone display re-engineering.
