Natural gas is collected from a field at 80 °F (Isothermal process), and sold to three

customers along a main pipeline. There is a booster compressor which provides outlet
pressure to meet the minimum delivery pressure of 650 psig imposed by all the
customers.

The 14.75 in inside diameter pipe is constructed with an MOP (maximum operating
pressure) of 1400 psig. The pipe roughness can be assumed to be 700 μin, and the base
pressure and base temperature are 14.7 psia and 60 °F, respectively.
The gas composition is:

C1 = 78.57 % i-C4 = 0.8 % CO2 = 0.3 %

C2 =11 .22 % n-C4 =1 .6 % N2 =1 . %
C3 = 7.7% n-C6 = 1.02 %
