DATE th
6 and 7th June 2018
TOPIC Exhibition – Colors of Life (The process)
GRADE KG1 & KG2

At “The Kindergarten Starters”, we always believe in overall personality development of the child
WRITE UP and not only the academic development. Thus we have the creative display of the learning and
development activities in the form of exhibition twice a year.

Objective: The main purpose behind this exhibition was to encourage children to bring
out their creativity in various colors of life by giving them reggio materials.

This year since the theme of the exhibition was colors of life, varied colors of students
and teachers were evident in the exhibition in the form of artifacts. The main focus of
the exhibition was the process and not the final output. Some of the subheads chosen
were Colors of Nature, Colors of UAE, Colors of India, Colors of emojis, Colors of
festivals, Colors of seasons, etc. Children were given different kinds of reggio materials
like rangoli colors, fabric paints, water colors, colorful bottle caps, etc. to create
wonderful things like Burj Khalifa, Dubai Aquarium, Butterfly Garden, Colorful beach,
etc. The best of the stories from all the clusters were displayed in the exhibition.

The limelight of the show was the amazing experiments done by our kindergarteners
for showing various arts of colors. Some of them were blowing of balloon with the help
of vinegar and baking soda, travelling of colors, creating art with the help of skittles,
etc. Parents were amazed by the way the children gave the explanations for the
experiments.

Teachers and children worked for more than 2 weeks to create wonderful stories and
artifacts. Both the stories and artifacts were displayed in the auditorium on the 6 th and
7th of June. Parents came in huge numbers to view the exhibition. The parents were
impressed by the hard work of the children and the staff and the way it was displayed.
They have mentioned the same in the feedback forms.

Overall the exhibition was a great success.
