SECTION – A

1. Derive the general equation for deflection surface of a circular plane of radius 'Q' clamped 17
along the edge subjected to load of uniform intensity 'q' distributed over the entire surface
of plate & hence derive the equation for maximum deflection, maximum circumferential
moment & demetral moment & maximum stress developed in plate.

3. A simply supported square plate of size 2.5m x 2.5m & thickness of 10m is subjected to 17
a heap load in the form of square pyramid with maximum intensity of load 2 kN/m2. at the
centre of plate. dividing the plate into 4x4 grid. Find the maximum deflection &
maximum bending moment in the plate using the finite difference method
