You are on page 1of 3

This image is large, rectangular and landscape.

In the image the

audience can see half of the model lying on the grass with litter
surrounding them. The model is lying upside down in the image, with a
relaxed expression on his face and his arms crossed. The waste that is
surrounding him is mainly recyclable waste. The image is in colour
because I wanted the audience to be able to identify the pieces of litter
quickly. I also wanted the image to be vibrant therefore I enhanced the
colours on photoshop through increasing the contract, decreasing the
brightness and increasing the vibrance. The details within the image are
crisp therefore I used a fast shutter speed to take this image. I wanted
the details to be crisp in the image so the audience can see the waste
clearly. This image has a deep depth of field however it isn’t as deep as
some of the other images in this shoot which allows the audience to
focus more on the waste rather than the shapes in this image. I think
that this image successfully portrays the household waste in a negative
way however it doesn’t show the same amount of waste as in the other
images. This image is similar to Gregg Segal style of photography
however it is taken from a different viewpoint. The use of colour is also
similar to Gregg’s photography.

This image is taken from a much wider viewpoint compared to the

previous image. This images is large, rectangular and landscape. In this
image the audience can see the whole body of the model and all the littler
surrounding it as well as some of the grass. In this image the audience are
able to understand how much litter the average person wastes. The
majority of waste in this image is recyclable waste. This image is in colour
which I enhanced on Photoshop through increasing the vibrance. I also
manipulated the image on Photoshop through using the patch tool to
make the grass less patchy. The details within this image are crisp
because I used a fast shutter speed. The crisp details means that the
audience can see the waste in the image clearly. This image has a very
deep depth of field which allows the audience to see the shapes of the
waste in image. The depth of field also allows the audience to understand
the amount of litter in the image. The waste is in the centre of he image.
The rule of thirds can’t be applied to this image and there are no leading
lines. I think that this image is very similar to Gregg Segal’s style of
photography however it is taken from a wider perspective. The use of
colour is also similar.
This image is taken at closer up point of view compared to the other
images in this shoot. The audience can see the shoulders and the head
of the model and the waste surrounding them. The audience can clearly
see the facial expression on the model and the different types of waste.
The model is also upside down in the image which makes the image
more interesting to look at. The closer viewpoint means that the colours
appear more vibrant in the image - I think this makes the image more
visually appealing. I enhanced the image on photoshop by increasing
the contrast and vibrance. To take this image I used a fast shutter speed
therefore the details within the image are crisp. This image has a narrow
depth of field which means that the audience can only see a few
elements. This image lacks composition because the rule of thirds can’t
be applied and there are no leading lines. This image isn’y very similar
to Gregg Segal style of photography because the viewpoint is very
different. I like this image because it adds an extra personal element to
the image as the viewpoint means that face is very clear. I also like how
there is some symmetry and pattern within the image because it makes
the image more interesting to look at.

This image is similar to the second image in this shoot because of the
viewpoint of the image however the model is in a hunched pose as
opposed to lying straight. This means that the shapes in the image are
different. In this image the audience can see the whole body of the
model and all the littler surrounding it as well as some of the grass. In
this image the audience are able to understand how much litter the
average person wastes. The majority of waste in this image is
recyclable waste. This image is in colour which I enhanced on
Photoshop through increasing the vibrance and contrast in the image.
The details within this image are very crisp therefore I used a fast
shutter speed to achieve this. This image has a deep depth of field
which means that the audience are able to understand the amount of
rubbish wasted. There is little composition in this image because the
rule of thirds can’t be applied and there are no leading lines. This image
is very similar to Gregg Segal style of photography however it is taken
from a slightly wider viewpoint. I like this image because the of the way
it is framed. This image successfully conveys the meaning behind the
shoot - trying to show the audience the reality of household waste.
This image image has a closer up viewpoint. The audience can only see
the bottom half of the model (from the shoulder down). The waste fills
the image - there is small ratio of waste to grass. The models legs are
bent there this creates interesting shapes in the image. The viewpoint
of the image means that the colours in the image are more vibrant. I
enhanced the colours on Photoshop by increasing the contrast and
vibrance. I used a fast shutter speed therefore the details within the
image are crisp. The crisp details mean that the waste is very clear in
the image. This image has an in-between depth of field which allows
the audience to see a lot of the waste and the body of the model
however only a small amount of the grass. The rule of thirds can’t be
applied to this image therefore the image lacks composition. There are
also no rule of thirds

This image is of the subject as the previous image however its is take from a
low viewpoint therefore the litter looks very different. The litter in this image
has more depth and details because the audience can see the size of the
litter. In the background of this image of the image there are green hedges
which are bright green. In the foreground of the image the audience can see
the concrete ground that has a lot of detail in it. The litter has various different
shapes and sizes which are interesting to look at. This image is in colour
which I enhanced on photoshop through increasing the vibrance and the
contrast of the image to make the litter stand out more. The details within this
image are crisp because I used a fast shutter speed. The crisp details make
the litter stand out more which helps to convey they meaning behind the
shoot. This image has an in-between depth of field because the the litter is
close to the lens of the camera and is in focus however the background is out
focus but still clear in the image. There are no leading lines in this image. The
rule of thirds can be applied through the black pot because it is positioned
along the second vertical line in the grid. The rule of thirds puts emphasis on
certain elements of the image therefore this helps to convey the meaning
behind the shoot. This image is very similar to Andy Hughes style of
photography because it makes the litter look large. The multiple pieces of litter
helps to convey the meaning behind my shoot because it emphasises the
problem
