Significance of the Study

This study aims to establish the correlation between the dependency of

the students on review materials, solution manuals and test banks and its impact

on their academic performance in the Synthesis 1 Auditing Problem review. The

result of the study will merit the following:

Universities – They will be informed of the present condition in students'

academic performance thus this study will be useful in their enhancement of the

strategies for producing effective and competent students.

Accounting department – They will be enlightened of the implications of

utilizing solution manuals and test banks in the academic performance of the

students in the Synthesis 1 of their Synthesis course hence this study will serve

as basis as well as assist them in creation of solutions in addressing the issues

associated with it.

Accounting Professors – This study would be beneficial to the

professors, as it would apprise them about the different learning strategies of the

students and further serve as a guide to let them properly assess the students’

performance.

Authors – Upon viewing the results of this study, they will become familiar

to this current event and at the same time help them in taking appropriate steps

to protect their intellectual rights with regard to their work.

Accounting Students – Through this research, students who utilize test

banks and solution manuals would know the implications of excessive

dependency on those materials and would allow them to decide whether they

should adopt another learning technique, depending on the benefits and

improvement they acquire from such materials.

Proponents of the study – Upon finishing this research, the researchers

researchers of a similar study since they can use this as their framework.
