A report on Barbuda Island

Purpose of report

This report has been written to provide information on the results of the investigational visit conducted on
Barbuda Island. The purpose of the one-week trip was to examine the suitability of Barbuda island to be a
well-appointed destination for the discerning tourists who opt for a package holiday.

Accommodation

Improvements have been introduced to the remote island due to the devastation wrought by the Hurricane
Irma in 2017. Therefore, only a handful of luxurious resorts and restaurants are available whilst others are
still under construction. For instance, the Barbuda Resort offers waterfront villas with full-board alongside
cottages with self-catering. In addition, nature lovers are given the chance to go glamping in awe-inspiring
locations for unbeatable prices.

The isolation

Infrastructure-wise, the island suffers from a severe lack of means of transport. On behalf of the vast range of
flora and fauna, the locals have concluded that an eco-friendly approach should be kept regarding transport.
As a result, the only way to get on the island is to rent a boat.

Surrounded by wildlife

Moreover, the main unique attraction for tourists is the wealth of wildlife. Mostly undeveloped and
completely unspoiled, the beaches boast silky white and pink sand, stretching as far as the eye can see. It is
definitely not for visitors who are looking for nightlife, but for the ones who crave to unwind and recharge.

Recommendations

On the basis of the points mentioned above, it appears that tourists yearning to escape the crowd are highly
satisfied with the features provided by the island and the local ecotourism.
I recommend that the best course of action would be that the government should offer more support to the
local community and preserve the abundant wildlife habitat.
Proposal to repurpose The Brasov National Library

INTRODUCTION

This report is submitted in support of my request for approval of preventing The Bucharest National
Library’s demolition. It is acknowledged that the landmark’s destruction is not in the public interest and the
historic building could be modernised for the sake of both ends.

CURRENT SITUATION
The Brasov National Library was the first centre to study biography in the region, and it stood as a point of
cultural pride for hundreds of years before rapidly falling into neglect. Even today in its decaying state, the
seventeenth-century building is widely regarded for the paramount importance that it has had for the
Romanian culture.

THE FUTURE OF THE PAST

As the council might be aware, the main issue to be addressed is the library’s collapsing structure. Therefore,
the renewal of the most damaged section is highly indicated, the other ones being reinforced with durable
pillars.
Moreover, regarding the high heating expenses, a considerable advantage would be to insulate the building,
installing double-glazed windows, and set up solar panels on the roofs. It should be taken into account that
only moderate spending is required to bring about this proposed redevelopment. A substantial help is
promised by the Engineering College, that is willing to save the unique landmark.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of the points mentioned above, there are to be several advantages of the suggested approach,
including the benefits provided to the people, the history and the culture. I trust that the scheme outlined in
this proposal will receive your consideration.
