Change: Personal Growth

What’s different this year?

Think about yourself as a sophomore compared to yourself in younger years.

1. How has your social life changed? Are you still friends with the same people? Why or why
not?
I have been isolated from the real world, due to the excessive amount of time-consuming
homework. I’ve managed to stay friends with the same group of people, but that is only because
I have known them for so long and because we basically have the same schedules.

2. How have your personal interests, hobbies, and/or activities changed or developed?
My personal interests, hobbies, and activities have changed, but not in a positive way. Due to the
excessive amount of homework, I am unable to most of my hobbies and activities that I enjoy,
such as art, sports, key club, sometimes even spending time with my family.
Key club, sports, and even family activities.

3. How have you changed or developed as a student?I feel I have learned in every topic, and that
I have matured in the sence that I now know there is not one second to waist.
I have learned to stay on top of my assignments, due dates, important dates, and waking up on
time.

4. How have you grown or developed physically or emotionally?

I have gained massive wait… lol :( and I’m emotionally drained.

5. How has your relationship with your family changed? What kinds of freedoms, expectations,
responsibilities, or opportunities do you have now that you didn’t have before?
I’ve been forced to put my school work above family. I have some freedom since my mommy
knows I’m responsible since I’ve been taking more advanced classes I am expected to do good in
them and continue taking them. Since I do have okay grades I am eligible to be in Upward
Bound.

6. What advice would you give yourself as you look ahead?

I would say get your work done early! Never think that you have a second to spare, there’s
always work to be done. Keep your head up it’ll eventually be over and then… retirement! :)
