Buenas tardes,

Para esta semana estaremos viendo la el past simple y el passive voice, simple por medio de la lectura del reader
book de la unidad 2, los ejercicios del work book unidad 2 y el student book unidad 2, hicimos un debate en
inglés-español del genero, la idea es que completen todas las actividades de la unidad 2, cabe recordar que los
audios de los libros no se deben hacer, por tal motivo, es necesario seguir con la explicación del vocabulario y el
uso de la gramática en las oraciones, por esta razón enviaré dos links los cuales los estudiantes deben mirar y
tomar apuntes en el cuaderno, es necesario que los estudiantes tengan a la mano diccionario en el computador
o dado el caso en la mano, además envio una actividad extra en este formato para realizar en el cuaderno.

(cabe resaltar que este trabajo se aplica a razón que inglés tiene 5 horas a la semana)

THE DISCOVERY OF ÖTZI THE ICEMAN

It was Thursday, September 19, 1991 at about 1:30 p.m. Two hikers, Erika and Helmut Simon from
Nuremberg in Germany, were walking in the Ötzal Alps in Italy. They were descending the Finail Peak in
the Tisenjoch area, approximately 3,200 meters above sea level. The weather in the mountains can be
unpredictable in the afternoons, and the Simons decided to take a shortcut. They left the marked path
and climbed down a rocky and icy stream.
Suddenly, in the distance, they noticed something brown next to the rocks. They thought it must be a pile
of trash, but on closer inspection they realized they had discovered a human corpse. Only the head and
shoulders were visible above the ice and meltwater, and the corpse lay with its chest against a flat rock
and its face obscured.
The Simons looked at each other. They were sure the corpse was that of an unfortunate victim of a tragic
mountaineering accident a few years before. The body was well-preserved and in good condition, so they
decided to take a photograph before leaving the scene. They would take the evidence to the authorities
when they got back to town.
Little did the Simons know that their discovery would achieve worldwide fame. The corpse was 5,200
years old, and was soon named Ötzi the Iceman. The story of a twentieth century archaeological
sensation was about to begin...
