SAI Training Centre, Patiala, is a joint venture of SAI and Punjab State Govt. to provide
modern training facilities to the upcoming sports Talent (preferably of Punjab State) to enable
them to excel at National and International levels. To achieve this purpose and to fill the vacant
seats, selection trails for the session 2020-21 will be held on 27.02.2020 to 29.02.2020 in
various games as given below:
Those sportspersons, who belong preferably to Punjab State, and fulfilling the under
mentioned criteria are eligible for the selection trails. The selection will be subject to Age
verification, Medical fitness etc.
Under STC Scheme, the facilities provided to the regular trainees are: free lodging, free
diet @ Rs. 247/- per day, sports kit worth Rs.5000/- per annum, competition exposure expenses
upto Rs. 3000/- per annum, education expenses upto Rs.1000/- per annum, medical expenses
upto Rs.300/- per annum, insurance cover, equipment and training. For Hockey we have lush-
green hockey playfields, Astroturf and scientific back-up of NIS Experts.
The day boarders will be provided stipend @ Rs.500/- per month in accordance with
attendance (maximum upto Rs.6000/- per annum), playing kit worth Rs.4000/- per annum,
competition exposure expenses upto Rs.3000/- per annum, insurance cover, equipment and
training.
Sportspersons willing to attend the Selection Trials should report at SAI Training Centre,
Polo Ground, Patiala, 27.02.2020 along with original and attested copies of date of birth
certificate, Aadhar Card, sports certificates and four passport size photographs. No TA/DA will
