Sub. : Selection Trials for selecting Indian Judo Teams ( Men & Women ) on 9th and 10th February
2021 at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi; for the forthcoming Olympic Qualifying Events 2021
including Asian Oceania Judo Championships 2021, Kyrgyzstan; with COVID-19 Protocol
issued by the MYAS, Govt. of India.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to inform you that JFI is conducting Selection Trials between the Medal winners of the Senior
National Judo Championships 2018-19 Vijayawada, Senior National Ranking Judo Championships 2019
Delhi & Junior National Judo Championships 2019-20, Lucknow; on 9th and 10th February 2021 at I.G.
Stadium, I.P. Estate, ITO, New Delhi; for selecting Indian Judo Teams ( Men & Women) for the forthcoming
Olympic Qualifying events 2021 including the Asian Oceania Judo Championships 2021 from 5th to 10th April
2021 at Kyrgyzstan:

2] All the players/participants must follow the protocol of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India
( copy attached ). The following documents/protocol are mandatory to participate under the Covid-19 SOP:

A] All the players must submit a NEGATIVE Report on Covid-19 RT-PCR Test issued 72 hours
prior to the Trials and it must be sent to the Email jfiindia@gmail.com

B] The above RT-PCR Test must be done at any of the ICMR approved Laboratories

C] MUST be wear a MASK to cover face at all times with minimum two lair and should not the
valve type mask.

D] All the participants must frequently do hand wash with soap ( at least 40-60 seconds ) wherever
feasible.
E] Self-monitoring of health by all the participants and must report to the Technical Officials in case
of any illness.

F] Spitting in the field of play, arena are strictly prohibited

G] All the participants must installed the Aarogya Setu App, and must be updated.

3] The selection trials will be held for the following 7 men & 7 women weight categories only:

Men : Below 60Kg, -66Kg, -73Kg, -81Kg, and -90Kg, -100Kg and +100Kg
Women: Below 48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg, -63Kg, -70Kg, -78Kg and +78Kg

5] ELIGIBILITY : PLAYERS WHO ARE :

a] All players must have valid Passport and it must be valid till 31st December 2021.
b] All competitors must send their documents / confirmation through their respective State /
Dept. Unit from where they have participated in the above Senior National Judo
Championships 2018-19, Senior National Ranking Championships 2019, and Junior
National Championships 2019-20 Delhi.
c] All players must do the Online JFI Registration through their respective State/Deptt.. Only
Registered player and officials will be eligible to participate. The registration details have
already sent to all the JFI States and Departmental Units (http://registration.onlinejfi.org/ )

d] A player who is under 18 years will participate at his/her own risk and responsibility, and a
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parents/guardian will be required before he/she is
participating in the Trails.

6] ENTRIES:

a] The player can only participate in the Weight Category in which he/she participated and won
the medal in the Senior National Judo Championships 2018-19 Vijayawada, A.P. , Senior
National Ranking Judo Championships 2019 Delhi & Junior National Judo Championships
2019-20 Lucknow, U.P..

b] Participation is allowed only through affiliated State Judo Associations/Departmental Units

c] The confirmation of participation must be received in JFI Office before 6th February
2021 through their respective State/Departments. CONFIRMATION/ENTRY MUST BE
Send to Email: jfiindia@gmail.com before 6th February 2021

7] CONTEST RULES :

The bouts will be played on the basis of the JFI/IJF Contest Rules and Regulations and the Sporting
Code and any amendments made there to, by the JFI/IJF from time to time.

8] DURATION:

MEN : 4 ( four ) minutes WOMEN : 4 ( four ) minutes

9] WEIGH-IN & JUDOGI CONTROL :

a] Weigh -in
Weigh-in of the WOMEN players will be held on 9th Feb. 2021 from 11:00 to 12:00 hrs.
Weigh-in of the MEN players will be held on 10th Feb. 2021 from 11:00 to 12:00 hrs.
b] Contestant in categories must fall strictly with in the lower & upper limits of that weight
category.
c] Contestants are advised to come adequately prepared with proper gymnastic under
clothing for the weigh- in.
d] First Judogi control will be done at the time of weigh -in. All players are required to
present with two Judogies for the first Judogi Control ( Blue & White ).
e] Each competitor will be allowed upon the scale only once during official weigh-in.

10] FEMINITY CONTROL :

A medical certificate in English/Hindi issued by a qualified Gynecologist of the players State/Deptt.

attesting the Sex & Non pregnancy of the women players must be submitted on demand.

11] DRAWS :

The draws will be held after the accreditation / registration of players on the same day i.e on
9th Feb. 2021 for Women & 10th Feb. 2021 for Men.

12] BOARDING, LODGING & TRANSPORTATION:

A] Boarding, Lodging and Transportation are at own arrangements, JFI is not responsible for the
same.

Due to covid protocol none of the participants are allowed go outside of the Venue/arena till his/her
bouts end. Therefore, JFI will arrange for the Lunch and refreshments for the day of competition
@Rs.300/- ( Rupees three hundred only ) per person.

13] DISQUALIFICATION :

a] Any player who by word, action or deed disrupts and or/interrupts the smooth and normal conduct
of the Trails on or off the mat, will be liable for immediate disqualification.

b] Any player/official who do not follow the Covid-19 protocol as per the SOP of MYAS will be
disqualified with immediate effect.

14] INSURANCE:

Each participant/State Association/Dept. Unit must assure all responsibility of accident/illness /

mishappening etc. and health insurance as well as the civil liabilities for their competitors during
their trials/visit. JFI do not accept any responsibility in this regard.

15] ANTI -DOPING :

Those who will be selected in the Team MUST obtain the report of Anti-Doping Test from the National
Anti Doping Agency ( NADA ), J.N. Stadium, New Delhi; and a copy of the same to submit to JFI
Office, before the departure.

16] All players also to must submit the RT-PCR Test report and a Self-Declaration on Covid-19
during the Registration.

17] THERE WILL BE NO NATIONAL COACHING CAMPS TILL FURTHER NOTICE, ALL SELECTED
PLAYERS HAVE TO TRAIN AT THEIR OWN CLUBS/CENTERS UNDER THEIR PERSONAL
COACHES.

18] IN CASE THE GOVT./SAI WILL NOT APRROVE THE ABOVE OLYMPIC QUALIFYING EVENTS
AT GOVT. COST, THE SELECTED PLAYERS NEEDS TO TAKE THE EXPENSES FOR THEIR
PARTICIPATION, FOR WHICH AN UNDERTAKING IS TO BE SUBMITTED TO JFI.

19] IT IS NOT COMPULSARY THAT JFI TO SEND ALL WEIGHT CATEGORIES FOR THE ABOVE
REFERED OLYMPIC QUALIFYING EVENTS, IT WILL BE DECIDED AFTER THE TRIALS AND
CONSIDERING PAST PERFORMANCE AND MEDICAL FITNESS ETC., BY THE SELECTION
COMMITTEE .

20] The decision of the Selection Committee will be treated as final.

21] The Judo player, those who will be selected in the Indian Judo teams, it is necessary to submit/obtain
the following :

REGISTRATION WITH INTERNATIONAL JUDO FEDERATION, JUDO DRESS & BACKNUMBER

FOR JUDO DRESS:

All the player MUST complete / obtain the following soon after their selection in the Indian Judo
Team:

Submit the required documents visa and entry, like Passport, Photograph - 4 Nos. (35mm
x 45mm size, with white background, 70-80% clause-up ), Individual Bank Statements for
last 6 months, NOC from Deptt./College etc.

IJF Registration : This can be done only through JFI Office, for which the documents required
are, valid passport, photograph, and Credit/Debit Card to make online payment, approximate
EURO-67=00 per person. This registration is mandatory to submit online Entry and is valid
from two years.

Each player must have Two pair of IJF APPROVED Judo Dress (1 white & 1 Blue ), which
can purchase online. List of approved companies will get from URL

Each player must have also minimum Two IJF BACKNUMBER for placing on the Judo
Dress (1 white & 1 Blue ), which be purchased online. There are two companies are

22] SELECTION CRITERIA

1] Selection Criteria / Procedure for Selecting Indian Judo Teams for International Events:
A] Top Two Ranked Judokas in National Ranking in each Weight Category
B] On the basis of World Ranking position in case of Olympic Qualifying Events
C] On the basis of Medical and Physical Fitness Test

2] Selection Criteria / Procedure for selecting Judokas for National Coaching Camps:
A] Top Four Ranked Judokas in National Ranking in each Weight Category
B] On the basis of World Ranking position in case of preparation for Olympic Qualifying
Events/Olympics
C] On the basis of Medical and Physical Fitness Test

3] Participation at Govt. / Own Cost:

A] Name of First Ranked Judokas in National Ranking in each Weight Category will recommend for
at Govt. Cost

B] All Second Ranked Judokas names in National Ranking will be allowed to participate in the
International events at Own Cost subject to fulfil all other mandatory requirements for
participating International events including Medical, Physical and Anti-Dope Tests etc.

C] Final decision will be the Selection Committee.

23] LIST OF QUALIFIED PLAYERS FOR THIS TRIALS

The List of Qualified players with their Weight Categories is attached with this circular. Only
these listed players can participate in this selection trials in their respective weight category.
