SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The result of this research will be beneficial to the following:

Teachers. They will help them to get information some historical happened in the
church. Through this, they should be the one who will promote it to the minds of their
students about the history and importance about church. However, they may fill in
knowledge to their students and must gain widen knowledge about the church. Thus,
they will know how significant the church of Anda and share to other with authentic
information.

Students. This will let them enlighten their minds that they must be appreciate in every
church and must be proud. They will express their own perspective and feeling in
relevance of the history about church. Moreover, they will be able to give information to
other with fact and truly happened. Thus, it is possible that they will be the one to
promote their church.

Tourists. This will let them interest to visit the church in order to identify how antiquity
and what’s miracle happened that church. It will possible to help the church about the
problems and necessary. They will promote other how beautiful and historical the
church. Thus, they will explore, get some documentary to spread with good feedback,
persuade and discover.

Future Researchers. This will serve as a guide, giving them ideas and further
knowledge parallel to their research in the means of promoting, giving relevant
information and future studies. Thus, they will add more information, future promoters,
and gain knowledge.
Methodology

The researcher of Anda students determining and providing the importance

history of Sto. Nino De Anda Parish Church in Anda, Bohol, Philippines. This study
gives the historical of Anda Church which covers the problems, infrastructure,
existence, and miracle happened. In research problem-solving, to found out or discover
the history for the people who know the history as well as documents.

In addition, the ways to discover the history the things to do is to have an

interview, observation, and finding documents. The first thing to do, having an interview
in one person based on our research problem. As a group, we prepared relevant
questions to have proper interview. To do this, we’re having brainstorming and sharing
to create a useful questions that will fit to our research. To retain the interview, there is a
record voice to keep and also listen well. To know more the history, we take a picture of
some crucial archive.

To analyze the documentary briefly, based on document Sto. Nino de Anda was
built on March 1985 and finished on November 17, 1888. The first Spanish Augustinian
Priest is Fr. Julian Cisnero. The interior is a pleasant surprise with the colourful ceiling
painting by Ray Francia. The church and convento are at the head of an immense open
field. According to the person interviewed, during the earthquake in February 08, 1890,
the patron Senior Sto. Nino in church fell down without damage and filled with sticky
pollen grass. It means the patron came to the plaza during earthquake. Andahanon
people respect, love, faith and appreciate to our patron.

Thus, the things to do to get information were having an interview, and

documents source to be able to discovered and answered about the history of church.
Environment

The following guided question in this research briefly:

1. What is the importance of this history?

2. What are problems, challenges and miracle happened?
3. When was the church build?
4. How significant of this church in Andahanon people?

Poblacion, Anda, Bohol is the location of the research history. This location
where the Sto. Nino De Anda Parish Church located. This research cover fill in the
important history including the problems, infrastructure, existence and miracle
happened.

This barangay is the focal point of the history of the town. This is where the most
important events in town happened and history says it all. When Spaniard came and
spread Christianity, Augustinian priests who were assigned in Guindulman wanted to
unfold Christianity faith to the natives of Quinale, called a visita. A visiting priest came
regularly during Sundays and church holidays to officiate masses. The people through
the guidance of the Spanish Priests selected the Senior Santo Nino as their patron.

Consequently, this church near in the sea, plaza and play ground. The
surroundings was clean and manage well. Tourists will came to see the church inside
especially the paintings. It is a large area and good environment.
