ACTIVITY 13

COHERENCE AND COHESION

PUBLIC TRANSPORT SHOULD BE FREE

Public transport should be free because it is the duty of the state to guarantee its citizens
the rights enshrined in the national Constitution, and it is in this magna Carta where we find
in article 24, “every Colombian, with the limitations established by law, is entitled to
circulate freely through the National territory, to enter and leave it, and to remain and reside
in Colombia, ”therefore the state must provide free public transportation for all citizens to
ensure that they can circulate freely throughout the city, since not doing so would violate a
fundamental right enshrined in the constitution.

In addition, public transport should be free, because it benefits the inhabitants of the city
who do not have the possibility of acquiring a private vehicle, since in large cities it is
necessary to use transport vehicles to move from one place to another , for the distances
that must be traveled and not all inhabitants have the resources to acquire a private vehicle.

Similarly, Public transport should be free so that all people can easily move around the
city and get to work, school, university, return to their homes after their study or work day,
perform medical procedures or of any other nature that requires moving from one place to
another in the big city.

Finally, Public transport should be free because it helps improve the quality of life of
people, which benefits the city because with its happy inhabitants and in decent living
conditions, they will strive to be good citizens, to pay their taxes, because of these free
public transport is financed, because they take care of vehicles and streets, as they are for
their service and benefit.
