Transmilenio has reached the limits of its capacity as Bogota's population has grown from 4 million to over 7 million residents. While some see Transmilenio as the main problem, the real issue is lack of investment in a multi-modal transportation system and politicians who have not expanded options beyond buses. Citizens have the power to demand more from candidates by learning about their proposals to develop new transportation modes like trams, subways, and public bikes that could better serve the city.

OUR PROBLEM IS NOT TRANSMILENIO, THE REAL PROBLEM IS OUR
POLITICIANS AND HOW WE CHOOSE THEM.

To start, Trasmilenio was proyected to be the principal public transport sistem
in Bogota, but like any proyect, there were certain limits and Trasnmilenio has reached them. For example, when Trasmilenio was made there were 4 million of resisdents and now, there are more tan 7 million of people and the public transport has not had significant changes. Therefore, Trasmilenio can not do anything else for our city because it has collapsed However, people from bogota think Transmienio is the principal problem and they just want more buses and bigger stations but when a system is working in its maximun capacity, that kind of changes are not enought. Accordingly, people should know that a public trasnport system is not just a transport mode, it have to be multimodal with diferent transport modes like a subway and a tram. A clear example is Mosc, where poeple can choose the best way to go to their destination. On the other hand, Bogota people have the solution in their hands because they can choose a good politician. Therefore, if you want to have differents transports modes in Bogot like a tram, a subway or a public bike, you should be informed about candidates and their proposals. In conclusin, Transmilenio is not the problem, the real problem is our way of choosing our politicians. We have to know who is going to govern and how will do it.
