THE GOSPEL STORY BY COLORS

Black is for the separation caused by sin.


“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:10

Red is for the blood Jesus shed on the cross.


“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. “
John 3:16

Blue is for faith.


“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even
we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the
works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Galatians 2:16

White tells us we are now clean and forgiven.


“Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”
Psalm 51:7

Green reminds us of growth in God’s love.


“But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”
2 Peter 3:18

Yellow stands for the promised eternal life.


“I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and
receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also.”
John 14:2-3
