Chapter 1 & 2 Activity
Jack and Annie saw that the book they were reading was “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
What do you know about Pirates?
With a partner, create a poster on what you know about Pirates.
Write words and draw pictures.
Then share your poster with the class.
Chapter 3 & 4 Activity
Cap’n Bones had a pirate ship.
Create your own pirate ship. Fold the paper then decorate.
You can include a pirate flag and even pirates on the ship!
When you are finished, tell a classmate about Cap’n Bones and his pirate ship.
Chapter 5 & 6 Activity
Cap’n Bones had a treasure map.
Create your own map of the setting of the story.
Make sure to include:
The pirate ship (don’t forget the flag!)
The island (what animal does it look like?)
The treasure (where is it located?)
The tree house (what type of tree was it in?)
Chapter 7 & 8 Activity
In the book, Jack never got to look inside the treasure chest.
Pretend that Jack did look in the treasure chest.
What did he find?
What did he do with the treasure?
Did he make it back to the tree house on time?

Write a different ending to chapter 8.


When you are finished, draw a picture of your ending.
Share your ending with the class if you’d like.

Draw a picture of your favorite scene
And write 3-4 sentences about what is going on in the scene.
Share your drawing with the class.
