Understanding Communication

The video explains how ideas turn into a communication process. Communication takes
place when a person or some thing that expresses an emotion or a feeling, creates an idea, or
senses the need to communicate. It is the passing information in oral or written form and
understanding from one person to another in oral or written form. This process basically means
the transmitting and sharing of ideas, opinions, facts, figures and information in a manner that
is perceived and understood by the receiver of the communication. I think people find it easy to
transfer information to one another by this process.

There are elements to convey a communication and divided into actions and
components. The four actions are encoding, sending, receiving, and decoding. The five
components are sender, message, medium, noise and receiver. The actions and components
combine to transfer meaning from the sender who sends the message to the receiver. The
sender who sends message and creates the message by encoding it, that is, by assembling the
message. The message is the body of the communication. The sender then transmits the
message through a medium. A medium is the mode or form of transmission of message, not
the message itself. Examples of media are spoken words, actions and economic expressions
video. Using smart phones, written memos, faxes and e-mail messages, the receiver receives,
the message by hearing, reading, or having it appear on a fax or computer through e-mail or
social media flatforms. The receiver then begins decoding the message, that is, interpreting it
using various tools. Sometimes distractions affect with the message; these interferences are
called noise which leads to misunderstanding, noise contributes to misinterpretations of the
original message, and it is only through feedback, or confirmation of the original message, that
communication problems may be located, modified and understood properly.

I think understanding communication, humans made it easier to express themselves in

the best way they can. They manage to convey and interpret different kinds of message in the
most artistic and understandable way. Humans form different kinds of relationship with other
humans because of communication. I believe understanding communication is going to be the
key on misunderstandings in interacting with enemies. It might help solve problems in a rightful
manner. Communication is also the key to have an effective relationship with your colleagues in
workplace.
