AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)
Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing:
 Lesson focus in student listening to a story and explore the activity that given.
 KK2MDT1 identify the event which come before and after a given event with
in a familiar sequence
 Student will do a felt green board

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? The lesson is to read a story and recode it, it’s for girl his names in Mona
her age is 8 she is I grade 3, then the kin will have an activity she will do
Where did the lesson take place? The lesson is in home in a room fit environment to recorded a
lesson for the kid.

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? I try to achieve in my lesson to let the child able
to understand to storytelling because she has an activity to do
Before I gave the student the activity I explain for her what she will do, I think the child feel
confused because she’s doesn’t able to remember the story to do the activity.
I think in the next time I will model the activity for the child then let her do in this way will be
easy for her to do it alone.
And if the child cannot remember the story to do the activity in next time I will retell the story to
be easier for the child the remember and do the activity.

What did the students do? they do an activity they have a felt green board, the student will
put each day a picture of the flowers that Ohoud plants it in order, and count and
write the numbers.
This activity it was for the mastered student, the student knows the order of the flower and the student
able to write the numbers and count 1 to 5, but I think she feel confused by putting the flower in orders
day, she ask for help and I help her.
In the closing, I let the child to the student will think and remember what flower color in each day and
put it in order then write the numbers of each flower.
The student will discuss with the teacher about the flowers that he put.
Student will discuss with the teacher.
Student will answer the question that they gave.
While she finishes putting the flowers in the board she tells the teacher how many flowers in each day
and she count and write the numbers, also she child answers the Questions and she said that Ohoud
taking care of her flower and give them water daily to be alive.
In next time I will do this activity in another way to let the student use their critical thinking more, I will
give the student the felt board with the flash card written on it “ day 1, day2, day3, day4” and with the
flowers color and then I will let them put it in order the same activities I gave for them but I will add a
part I will do some staff missing for example let the child to draw the water and put it in the felt board
because Ohoud in the story she taking care of the flowers and give them water daily, also I will let child
to draw the sun and put it in the felt board because Ohoud plants her flowers outside to take benefit
from the sun
Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
one reason let the student be polite, I notice some children when we make a recording video or
recording voice they are shy that why they don’t speak too much while the teacher teaches a
lesson or read a story.
The student was focused on the activity because the activity is to remember the flowers in each
day and each number, that’s way the student was quiet, and also because the child was alone, if
we had a lot of children they might do a a lot of bad behavior but if we have a one child she will
be polite.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? I like my activity with prior
understanding, because the kid is in grade 3 and they been learned about math how to write numbers and I
gave them on my activity to write number also they learn how to count and I let the kid to count the flowers,
they learned different colors in English, my activity has different flower with different colors

How well did you engage the students?

I let the student to do the activity by her own this let the student engage and she will feel that she
wants to achieve the activity.
I make the activity like a play for the student in this way the child will engage, play and learn at
the same time.
I gave the student a motivate to be more exited to do the activity
The child was very focus into the activity and she like it, but she feels confused in one part and I
help her.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals? Yes, my lesson meets my personal goal, because I
planned for my lesson before I teach it for a child, also I practice my lesson before I record it this
my lesson to be has more self-confident and I didn’t feel confused while I teach it. And my
personal goal was “I am working in student management” I let the student to be polite by
engage her, and give the child some question to answer and let the child discus and tell what
she did.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
 In this activity, the student will learn sorting the colours and the type of each colour, and this
activity helps them to count and write the number, also its helps them to memorize and
remember the event which come before and after a given event with in a familiar
sequence.
