Research Environment

The questionnaire will be distributed on email and social media accounts such as Facebook,
Instagram and Messenger, where the targeted sample population will receive a link to the
qualtrics questionnaire online.This will be more convenient for the participants as they would
be able to fill up the questionnaire at ease whenever they are free; whether they are at home
or workplace or any location, they would be able to fill up the questionnaire anywhere they
want to. As participants would be able to go through the questionnaire when they are free and
with a calm mind, the answers given will be unbiased and accurate. Moreover, there is no
time limit to answer any question, therefore the participants can take all the time to think
about their answers and hence the data collected will be more efficient. In addition,
Questionnaires will also be distributed in person with students at Charles Telfair Campus.

The focus group will be conducted at Moka, Ebene and Reduit, which are among the most
active places where the sample population are seen the most and as it is the central location of
Mauritius. A private space will be rented, for example at Moka, a Breakaway classroom will
be rented in the Curtin University (Charles Telfair Campus) so as the participants are not
disturbed with noise and parking facilities is available. The room would consist of a table
with chairs facing the participants and with snacks and refreshments on the table. Hence this
would be to create a friendly atmosphere to make the participants feel at ease and
comfortable in conversing. Therefore, the participants will give more honest and accurate
answers. Each focus group would comprise of 10 participants and will be held for
approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
