I worked with my group to plan and execute our
freshman crew lesson. Melaad and I worked
together to make a detailed plan for our class
times, and bounced ideas and opinions off each
other.
I listened while Ms.Smoak talked about how to
fill out our learning target tracker, and why it is
different and important.

The information I heard in life after RB caused
me to take action and feel more pressure to work
and turn in my college applications. Life After RB
presented a lot of very important and useful
information about college and the application
process.
CREW mentoring has provided me with an
opportunity to use my leadership skills and
desire to mentor Freshman in an applicable and
meaningful way. I have been taking mentoring
seriously by actually trying to create
relationships with the Fresham, inside and
outside of the CREW classroom.
When we watched the TED talk about leadership
my perspective about leadership changed, which
has changed the way I view and try to achieve
leadership. Every since that TED talk I have
attempted to create “Lolly-pop” moments in the
way that I am kind and interact with people.
I talked with Ms.Smoak one on one about what
my goals to become a leader to my classmates
and to underclassmen. I think that I possess
certain qualities like kindness, passion, and good
communication skills that I analyzed through
CREW after discussion and articles.
I demonstrated growth mindset during and after the Life After
RB session. I displayed Growth mindset because I decided
to take action and make changes to my college application
process after hearing the Life After R session.
I demonstrated Excellence in the ways that I have
challenged myself to become friends with our Freshman
CREW, and also make their CREW mentoring experience as
good as it can be, which is challenging myself to do complex
tasks.
I demonstrated Citizenship as I displayed good qualities of a
leader by attempting to be kind and demonstrate integrity to
my other peers and represent RB in a good way.
I demonstrated Growth Mindset as I made academic and
personal risks to analyze and modify how I become a leader
in my school. I used what I learned to modify and change
how I interact with people but also to recognize how I already
am a leader.

norms with our mentor CREW.
I wasn’t present for the time we had mentor I demonstrated Collaboration and relationships in the way
CREW because of a funeral, but I have made that I went above expectation, I actively pursued to create
efforts to become friends with specifically one meaningful interaction with members of our mentor CREW
girl who happens to be in our mentor CREW. As even though I wasn’t expected to.
a senior I think that Fresham look up to me and
that in itself is a leadership quality. I think a
leadership quality that I have is making people
feel welcome and understood, I am trying to use
that in the way that I am friends with her and
hopefully other member of of our mentor CREW.

I don’t think we did this activity in class but just
thinking about a mentor in my life, a friend
named Maggie, I can analyze her leadership
qualities. Maggie is a leader to me in the way
that she shares her wisdom with me and leads
by example, Maggie doesn’t do anything out of
the ordinary to lead me, she just is herself and
communicates and shows me things and that I
think is a quality of a great leader.
I demonstrated personal responsibility through the
identification and analysation of a mentor in my life. This
helps me to better understand what makes a good leader
and see that in my own life. I also demonstrated excellence
by creating and executing a good example of a mentor even
though we did not have class.
