ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

Name of Activity : NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION


Date : November 5 to December 15, 2018
Venue : Naungan Elementary School
Participants : SPG Officers, Kinder and Grade 6 Learners,
Brgy. Council, GPTA Officers and Teachers.
Objectives/Agenda :
Nutrition is very important for everyone, but it is especially important

for children because it is directly linked to all aspects of their growth and

development. Children simply don’t know enough on their own to naturally

choose to eat well. Unfortunately, the foods and snacks that taste the best

are usually the worst for our bodies and a child left to their own who will

almost choose junk foods over fruits and vegetables.

JULY is celebrated as the Nutrition Month that every private and

Government agencies support to celebrate. In the line of the Government’s

program, the NAUNGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL of Ormoc City Division,

Ormoc City District III, conducted a school Based Nutrition Program with

the theme “Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanhin”.

Highlights of the Activity (in narrative or bullet form):


As a culminating activity of the said celebration, advisers of the

aforementioned school prepared a feeding activity through collaborative

efforts with the Parents Teacher Association (PTA) to serve nutritious food

such as sospas, chocolate porridge and both macaroni salad and macaroni
sospas. In the afternoon, the school prepared a short culmination program

participated by the PTA officers, Homeroom officers, Brgy Council, SPG

Officers and pupils from Kinder to Grade VI with their different presentation.

SPG Officers led the opening prayer through an interpretative dance. They

are also in-charge in maintining peace and order for the whole during of the

program.

Part of the nutrition month celebration, Lyan Chelsie N. Valencia our

SPG President, oriented the children on the fundamental essence and

function of food being served, the importance of eating healthy and

nutritious food rather than eating trans-fat milk and junk foods which could

contribute unwanted illness to our body and discussed also the habitual

exercising of proper hand washing before and after eating.

The Nutrition Month celebration was a success and one of the magnificent

endeavors every class initiated.
