I. Activity
Before we proceed into our next lesson. I will
give you an activity first. This will be a group
activity. (the teacher will divide the class into
3 groups) The first group who can finish the
task will have reward.
What does that mean? Anyone? Okay._____. Sir. It’s literally stands for #OutfitOfTheDay
STEP 2
Unwind and pair the similar colors.
STEP 3
Pinch the wires between your fingers and
straighten them out as shown. The color
order is important to get correct.
STEP 4 and 5
Use wire cutter to cut across the wires ½ inch
from the cu sleeve to the end of both wires.
Push the wire connector. Each wire must be
fit into a slot n RJ45 connector. Note the
position of the blue plastic shielding. Also
note how the wires go all the way to the end.
STEP 6
A view from the top. All the wires are all the
way in. There are no short wires.
STEP 7
Crimping the cable - carefully place the
connector into the Ethernet Crimper and
cinch down on the handles tightly.
STEP 8
For a “Straight Through” cable, repeat all the
steps and wire color order on the other end of
the cable.
STEP 9
Make sure to test the cables using LAN
Tester before installing them.
(The teacher will demonstrate the procedure
in creating straight through cable.

Students will group into four (4) will perform
