It is generally believed that hard work and persistence are essential to

achieve world-class expertise. Some people argued that luck also

plays a key role in a person’s success. What is your opinion? Do online
research, use your findings and your own experience to justify your
opinion.

How to be a world class expert is the most difficult theme to discuss for
everyone. Nobody can’t point out exact way or fact for this topic. Concurrently, no one
can’t deny hard working and persistence are essential to achieve world class expertise.
In my opinion, hard work is the best quantity of effort or endurance. Persistence
means continuing in an opinion or a sequence of action in spite of oppositions and
impediments. It means that a great deal of effort which is emerged by continuing actions
in spite of barriers can lead to the way of a world class expert.
However, some people argued that luck can’t be left. Luck also plays an
important role for success. In my opinion, luck can make things, especially good things,
by chance and not as a result of efforts or abilities. James Clear said; Luck matters
more in absolute sense and hard work matters more in relative sense. The absolute
view considers level of success compared to everyone else. The relative view considers
level of success compared to those in similar level. The absolute view is more global.
The relative view is more local.
As far as I am concerned, everyone may have their own view according to the
way their consideration on the situation. No one can judge each other. From where I
stand, I consider hard work, persistence and luck are important in different ways. Only
luck can’t lead people to be an expert. Just the same, people can’t be an expert by hard
working with persistence. So, I subjectively assume that they are relied on each other.
