There’s was a typical love story,
but it ended in heartbreak.
She told me it was as if
she had fallen asleep,
but when she awoke
he was gone.

Even the noise of the stars

bothered her at night.
His absence formed a hole
deep inside her soul.
And every time I see her,
she appears only halfway there.

Why is it the ones we love most,

stab us in our hearts?
She tried to give him the sun,
but he decided he only wanted the stars.
Now she’s left wondering why;
because the sun is the most magnificent star of all.
