Summary:

This technical document presents instruction of how to prepare the CHP units to be removed from the shipping crate.

Shipping crate construction:

The Shipping crate for international shipping is constructed by a metallic skid made of steel rectangular tube and sheet
metal components that brings a strong base to pull and drag the units in and out of the container. It has in both ends
channels to allow use of forklifts to lift and eyelet for pulling and dragging.

Important note:

Only lift, pull or push from the front and back of the skid at the locations shown below, do not lift or push from the
side.

-The crate also has support brackets for all connections and electrical boxes.

-The coolers are shipped wrapped in VCI film and banded, to remove the coolers from the skid first you must remove the
metallic band and the CVI film from the crate.

Step 3:

Repeat this step 2 for the other end of the cooler.

Step 4:

Remove all the bolts from the shipping legs.

-Important note:

Once you remove all the bolts from the legs( places marked with the red
arrows) only one of the units still has bolts connecting the shipping legs to the
skid in the places marked with a red star. You can only access those bolts once
the units that has no bolts connected to the skid has been removed from the
skid. Then you can remove all the rest of the bolts and lift the last unit.

Step 5:

Once you have successfully remove all the support brackets and bolts form shipping legs, proceed to remove the unit that
is completely free from the skid first. Follow the IOM for lifting handling recommendations.

Once the first unit is off the skid and set apart, you can finish the removal of the bolts for the final unit and proceed to flit
afterwards.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate in contacting us. We will follow up step by step with you to assure a
safe uncrating of the units.
