1. Filipino indolence - this is the filipino act of being lazy, lacking of intiative and ambition.

Example: in weddings, bringing ininvited people

Advantage: promotes creativity

Disadvantages: hard to overcome poverty

2. Ningas cogon - this is an attitude with great interest and enthusiasm in the begining but
eventually dies downat the end

Example: People enjoying events but no one volonteers to clean up at the end

Advantages: provides labour to people

Disadvantages: hard work for planners

3. Manana habit - this is the tomorrow attitude or procrastination attitude.

Example: Duing activities with long duratiin given

Advantages: leads to creativity

Disadvantages: promotion of laziness

4. Bahala na- this is a kind of fatalism in whicu the person leaves everything to fate

Example: forgeting an important task

Advantages: promotes belief and hopes

Disadvntages: brings bad outcomes to thw person

5. Indulging in gambling: this is an act of being involved with gambling

Example: mahjong

Advantage: profitable

Disadvantage: promotes evilness

6. Hiya complex: this is an uncomfortable feeling of being found in an unacceptable position or

uncomfortable feeling of doing something not socially acceptable accompanied with feeling of shame or
embarassment

Example: shy student presenting infront of the class

 Advantage: promotes cultural values

Disadvantage: makes things not to get done

7. Amor propio - self love or self esteem, the fear of loosing social acceptance

Example: someone caring on effects of doing something on him/ herself rather than others

Advantages: keeps good image

Disadvantage: hinders development

8. Suerte and malas belief - these are beliefs in fate, predestination, in horoscope.

Example: acceptance/ tolorance of pain and frustratiin

Advantage: promites character development

Disadvantage: hinders development

9. Beliefs in the existance of spirits and ghosts- the belief on these unseen beings where by they imagine
to be existing on this material world.

Example: anitos

Advantage: Give people hope

Disadvantage: hinders hardwork

10. The gaya-gaya practice: generally, imitation

Example: copying lifestyle of someone

Advantage: promotes good models

Disadvantage: lack of creativity
