Connect the pressure gauge 9996662 to the compressed

air system and set the gauge to 100 kPa (1 kp/cm²) with
the knob on the reduction valve.

Note: The knob on the reducing valve can be locked by

moving a locking ring axially.

Then close the shut-off cock. The pressure shown on the
gauge should not drop during at least 2 min in order for
the pressure testing equipment to be considered reliable.

Attach the air connection plate 9996852 to the cylinder
head with 2 x M10 bolts and sealing plate 9998115 with
12 x M10x140 mm bolts with plane washers and nuts.

Make sure the knob on the pressure gauge reduction

valve is unscrewed.

Connect the hose from the pressure gauge to the air
connection plate.

Immerse the cylinder head into a 70 C water bath
and open the stopcock.

Adjust the reduction valve so that a pressure of 50

kPa (0,5 kp/cm²) is shown on the gauge. Maintain
this pressure for 1 min.

Then increase the pressure to 150 kPa (1,5 kp/cm²). Lock
the reduction valve knob with the locking ring and close
the stopcock. Check after one to two minutes if the
pressure has dropped or if air bubbles are emerging in
the water bath.
