OBJECTIVE:

THEORY:
In TTL logic,
0 Volt represents Logic 0
+5 Volt represents Logic 1
In CMOS logic,
0 Volt represents Logic 0
+12 Volt represents Logic 1
In this lab we use TTL based logic gates.
In TTL following parameters are important while working with it,

VIL,max = 0.8 V VOL,max = 0.4 V

VIH,min = 2.0 V VOH,min = 2.4 V

The definition of the parameters are as follows,

VIL,max :- Maximum value of the input Voltage that can be treated as Logic 0.
VIH,min :- Minimum value of the input Voltage that can be treated as Logic 1.
VOL,max :- Maximum value of output voltage when it is at Logic 0.
VOH,min :- Minimum value of output voltage when it is at Logic 1.

Some of the mostly used ICs in TTL technology are,

1. 7400 : Quad 2 input NAND gate
2. 7402 : Quad 2 input NOR gate
3. 7404 : Hex Inverter(NOT) gate
4. 7408 : Quad 2 input AND gate
5. 7432 : Quad 2 input OR gate
6. 7486 : Quad 2 input XOR gate
7. 74266 : Quad 2 input XNOR gate
