4. Installation Rebar

5. Concrete shall be deposited in layers not deeper than 24 in. (610mm), the step
method of placement as described in Section 5.6 in ACI 304R shall be followed
for mass concreting in order to minimize the occurrence of cold joints
6. Concrete shall be deposited at or near its final placement position and shall not
be caused to flow such that the lateral movement will permit or cause segregation
of the coarse aggregate, mortar or water from the concrete mass.
7. Concrete and the exposed surface of fresh concrete shall be protected from rain
and snow during and after placement
