Report on Amount of Time Youths Spend on Mobile Devices

Both the bar chart and the table show a study that was conducted on the
amount of time youths spend on mobile devices and their reasons in from
2010 until 2016. The main reasons for using mobile devices are divided into
two main groups which are functional reasons and recreational reasons.
From the bar chart, it is clearly shown that the amount of time spent on
mobile devices of male youths exceed females from 2010 until 2014. However,
in 2016, the number of females has increased and overtook male youths. Plus,
the amount of time spent on mobile devices for both genders is the highest in
2016. This is due to the rapid advancement of digital technology which is
currently flooding our world.
It is interesting as in 2010, males spend most of their time playing games
and social networking only with their gadgets. In 2016, they started to use
their devices on searching information and watching movies apart from
gaming and networking. For females, they only spent their time on social
networking in 2010 while in 2016, they used their devices to do assignments,
shop online, obtain information and watch movies.
In conclusion, males spent more time on their mobile devices since 2010 but
the females overtake the number in 2016.
