Notes :
The offer price shall be an all inclusive price that shall include
all costs for delivery, Supply & Installation,testing and
commissioning. It shall also include all taxes as applicable as
on the date of offer. Detailed break-up of the taxes included in
the offer shall be indicated separately ( excise duty exemption
document will be given by IISc. VAT & Service Tax should be
included in the offer).
The DG Sets offered shall be as per specification and with
the following accessories:
a) Batteries with Stand, leads, acrylic cover and accessories.
b) Residential silencer with necessary supporting arrangements
with spring supports, wherever applicable.
c) Electronic governor with digital speed & voltage control.

d) 990 Ltrs. Day Tank fabricated out of 5mm thick sheet steel
with secondary containment tank and with fitments and float
level switches with high and low level.
e) Drip Tray for fuel tank
f) Drip Tray below engine crank case
g) Anti-vibration mount Pads.
h) Any other item not specifically mentioned but required for
proper performance and safe working of the system.
i) Unloading, Shifting & Positionng of DG sets
Site testing of DG Sets (The price shall include required
quantity of diesel for site testing).
Design Calculations in support of fresh air ventilation and
exhaust system including the exhaust pipe sizing shall be
submitted prior to execution of work.
The DG set shall be suitable for operation within Acoustic
Room in the building without derating.
Supply & Installation, testing and commissioning of the
following :
1.1 Prime duty 1010 KVA DG Set with outdoor accoustic
enclosure and radiator cooled version.

4.0 Exhaust system

Note:
a The system shall comply with the norms of KSPCB/other
statutory bodies, with a minimum height of 32mtrs. from the
ground with required structure.
b 5 mm thick MS pipes as per IS 3589 shal be supplied. The
exhaust system including the silencer must be sized to
ensure that back pressure on system does not exceed the
back pressure recommended by engine manufacturer.Design
calculation in support shall be submitted on award of contract.

c Pipe shall be thouroughly cleaned of rust and painted with
heat resistant paint after fabrication and erection.
d Exhaust piping and silencer shall be thermally insulated with
aluminium sheet cladding.
e Silencers and Horizontal runs shall be supported on spring
supports fixed to ceiling. Vertical runs to have expansion
bellows where length exceeds 25 M.
f Flexible expansion joint of multiple corrugated stainless steel
shall be provided between engine exhaust manifold and
exhaust piping.
g Earthing, weather cowl at the top and aviation lights are to be
provided.
h Dia of pipe to be used shall be indicated in the tender. If more
than one size is proposed to be used, estimated quantities
with rates for each size shall be furnished.

5.2 LT Power & Control Cables and Cable termination

a Supply, laying, testing and commissioning of 1100 V grade,

Al. conductor, XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed, steel
armoured Power Cable of size as below. The cables shall be
laid in tray / trench as required. Rate to include cost of tray /
trench.

The cables shall be laid in tray/ built up trench. Rate shall

include cost of tray, cost of trench, with heavy duty slabs,
wherever applicable. The distance between DG set and AMF
will be around 20 mtrs. and the distance between AMF and
Substation main panel around 25 mtrs. Make: Universal -
Unistar, Phinolex, Polycab or equivalent.
