ARCHITECTURAL
 To redeveloped the existing market according to the present and future needs with
the use of new approach and architectural intervention that will help the users and its
community.
To provide spaces that would be reorganize and re-plan to accommodate the
equipment and required spaces that is essential to a markets.
COMMUNITY
PEOPLE
 To improve the Central Signal public market that will enable to invite, satisfy and
give comfort to locals and neighbouring municipalities.
 To establish a good impact to the beneficiaries, users and environment.
 To provide a new interactive space for the community that can buy essential
needs by having a comfort and safety shopping.
 To provide new job opportunities to the locals.
ECONOMY
Since having a quality public market, it can increase the volume of trade and
business industry being conducted in the area. A sufficient supply of goods and
commodities can meet the needs of the public and can also affect the increase of
demands in the economy.
ENVIRONMENT
 A facility that will consider a sustainable design that will help to lessen the impact
of building a market in the said environment.
 The proposed Central Signal Public market is one of the city’s biggest
marketplace it should be able to protect and develop its built environment. It shall
seek to become an advocate of protecting the environment through advancing
sustainable design.

DEFINITION OF TERMS AND CONCEPTS

 AGORAS – a greek word for “market” an open space serving as an assembly area and
a place for commercial, civic, social, and religious activities.
 BAGSAKAN – a tagalog term meaning to drop goods and products inside the market.
 COMMERCE – the buying and selling of goods, especially in a large scale, as between
cities or nations.
 CONSUMERS – one that consumes the product.
 DOLE – Department of Labor and Employment.
 DEMAND – a consumer's desire to purchase goods and services and willingness to
pay a price for a specific good or service.
 PALENGKE – is a permanent wet market in the Philippines.
 SUFFICIENT – enough amount of something, to meet the need.
