AS PER BOCW ACTION FOR EMERGENCIES AT SITE

Types of emergencies to be reported by site personnel are:

• Fire & explosion

 Collapse of lifting appliances and transport equipment.

 Collapse of building, shed, or structures, etc.

 Land sliders getting building worker buried, floods, storms and other natural
calamities.
 Unrest from workmen agitation

GUIDELINE OF INCASE OF EMERGENCY

All emergencies shall not be in necessity of evacuation and assembly. In the event of large-scale
emergency where the site must be evacuated, the following procedures shall be followed.

On hearing the continuous sound of the alarm, site responsible personal will be required to stop
work, switch off their power tools and assemble at the Emergency Assemble point(s).
Don’t run at site during emergency.

The person responsible for administering the Site Diary shall simultaneous account for the
visitors on site.

In this manner, a reasonable accurate forecast can be determined of the number of Site staff
and visitors remaining in the building or missing.

The person or persons responsible for raising the alarm shall make himself/themselves know to
the Project manager/Project Safety Officer or the designated HSE Officer/Construction Manager
or their absence, to a responsible member of the Site Management. He/they shall remain
available to inform Legal Authority of the exact location(s) of the emergency and to describe in
brief the cause of any emergency.

A manually operated alarm system, comprising a loud siren and located on the Contractor’s Site
Offices, shall be set up. This alarm will constitute the signal to evacuate the Site.

Rolls & Responsibility in ERP

Responsibility for staffs

1. Engineers and civil supervisors working at site:

A) Guidance and Showing to the all labours for the right path to reach to the safe
assembly point.
B) Gave the labour counting list to the safety department immediately and
missing worker which are working under him.

2. Safety Department:

A) Ring the Emergency alarm after declaration of emergency coordinator.


B) The First-aider immediately reached to the safe assembly point.
C) Rescue team reached at assembles point for rescue.
D) Counted all workers presented at safe assembly point and got mach worker
list from security gate in that mean time.
E) Gave the narration about Emergency Drill.
F) Again ring the alarm after finished the Mock Drill for vacate the assembly point.

3. Workers
A) To follow the instruction of Safety Persons, Engineers, Civil Supervisors.
B) Get together at assembly point.
C) Help to Civil members for head counting.
D) Follow safety norms at emergency.
E) Help to ERT for find the emergency place.

4. Security
A) As soon as get news about any emergency, inform to safety department & do as
per safety dept department instructions (Ring siren/Alarm)
B) Head counting of staff, workers & visitors.
