1.2.2. METAL STRUCTURE AND COATINGS

This proposal concerns the supply and erection of a building for storage of frozen products,
structure made of steel and coating (roof and façade) insulated panels and shaped sheet metal.
The overall dimensions are 139m width, 92m depth and 14mts h, considering a maximum
height at the outside, the mansard made to hide the slope roof, and give some architectural
design. The coverage of the roof is according to the drawings, Fig 3 and 4, consisted in four
buildings with 2 slopes, and one with just one slope. There are gutters placed between them,
which have properly sized exhaust PVC pipes that will discharge on a network of underground
manholes.

To access to the roof top, and for security reasons, access is made by stairs within the zone of
loading and unloading through a sailor ladder. The sailor ladder is located in the top of the
docking area.

A lower fifth part of the cold storage that is loading and unloading area will have only one slope
roof with direction of docking the area. It will also have a mansard to hide the slope of the roof.

The office area was considered, according to your drawings in a mezzanine placed over the
forklift room area at a height of 5mts. Exterior and interior access ladders, entrance doors and
light through the coverage are included in the budget. The façade in this area will be carried out
by 40mm thick thermal sandwich panel, and the 1st floor of the Office will be made using a
composite floor slab.

In the forklift room is only contemplated a gateway which scale must consider the passage of
electric forklifts.

Loading and unloading zone will have nine loading docks equipped with docking levelers,
vertically rising sectional gates, Flap dock shelters and exterior guides lines for trucks, according
to specifications described below

1.2.3. DESCRIPTION OF THE DIFFERENT EXISTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS:

1.2.3.1. PILLARS

- The steel class is S275JR.

- The pillars are properly positioned upright and in line with the
implementation and tolerances allowed by the regulations.
- The pillars are connected to the foundation by anchor bolts previously left
in the concreting of the foundations, with the dimensions and geometry
indicated in the project.

1.2.3.2. BEAMS

- The steel is class S275JR.

- The beams are connected to the pillars by bolted connections, with screws
class 8.8, with the dimensions and geometry shown in the drawings.
- The beams supporting the floor of the composite slab, the connectors
should be welded bolt head with the dimensions shown in the project.

1.2.3.3. OMEGA PROFILE

- Them coverage and the facades will be in profile steel Omega S320 GD Z
arranged according to the drawings.

1.2.3.4. COMPOSITE FLOOR SLAB. (OFFICE AREA 300M2)

- The slabs will be concrete C30/37.

- The composite slabs are composed of plates or equivalent type 59S Haircol
steel S320 GD Z.
- You must add a higher minimum reinforcement to minimize cracking due
to the effects of shrinkage during the hardening of concrete armor and still
further on the intermediate support.
- Additionally, we use an increase in the gap between two beams inside the
ribs, in order to improve the fire resistance.

Rua Nicolau Gomes Spencer Nº 5, 1º Andar, Luanda, Angola Tel: 00 244 93 3561208 Email: geral@fpan.co.ao
Composite Floor Slab is a mixed construction system consisting of a steel sheet
which serves as shuttering for concrete and reinforces the slab, totally or
partially replacing the tensile reinforcements.

The basis of this composite floor-slab system is that the various elements work
together, each one contributing with its best characteristics.

It is essential to achieve a bond between the steel and concrete that is stronger
than the horizontal stresses to which the slab is exposed. The behavior under
load of the composite floor slab has been analyzed following the criteria of
existing standards and demonstrated experimentally in tests carried out by
Official Organizations.

In this system, the concrete-steel bonding is achieved thanks to the special

design of the steel sheets. These sheets are embossed with frustum-shaped
projections, repeated indefinitely, both on their horizontal surfaces and on the
sloping sides.

The shape and well-defined edges of these projections ensure that the
concrete is perfectly anchored to the steel sheet.

1.2.3.5. INSULATED ROOFING PANELS

The insulated steel panel systems (sandwich panels with 40mm of thick).
Total covered area:
11670m2.

1.2.3.6. STEEL SHEET FAÇADE

1.2.3.7. DOCK LEVELER

Supply and assembly of 9 self-loading

dock leveler by Hormann

The electronic hydraulic system moves

the platform to the highest position and
then automatically extends the hinged
lip. The platform is then lowered until
the hinged lip is placed on the loading
surface. Now the lorry can be quickly
and safely loaded and unloaded.
Particularly strong hinges and the
continuous hinge band guarantee
reliable functioning. The open design
keeps the hinges free of dirt. For
especially heavy goods, for example
when loading paper, the hinged lip
dock leveller is also available for rated
loads up to 180 kN.At least 100 mm of
the lip must rest on the loading surface
of the lorry, according to EN 1398. Due
to their hinge design, the effective
levelling of hinged lip dock levellers is
lower than the lip length (e.g. 330 mm
levelling with a 405 mm long standard
lip). In addition, the positioning depth
is also affected by the depth of the
buffer and potential lorry buffers.

1.2.3.8. FLAP- DOCK SHELTERS

Supply and assembly of 9 flap-dock Shelters

by Hormann

For normal loading frequencies we

recommend the dock seal DS. The side and
top flaps consist of 2-layered, 3mm-thick
substrate fabric made of polyester
monofilament threads with double-sided
UPVC coating. For docked lorries, the
monofilament threads in the flap material
ensure the necessary pre-tensioning/seal of

the lorry’s reverse side. If the vehicle heights differ greatly, a top flap with a corner
incision or a fully sectioned top flap can be a good choice to prevent excessive tension
of the top flap with high vehicles.

1.2.3.9. INDUSTRIAL SECTIONAL D OORS THERMO INSULATED

Supply and assembly of 9 Industrial Sectional Doors by Hormann

Hormann SPU 40 sectional industry door, size

of 3.000x3.000 and made with insulated panel
thickness of 42mm, 625 and 750mm panels (13
colors option, inside and outside).

These sectional doors have an Anti-break-in

gates, electronics against loose cables and
black synthetic frame with double acrylic glass,
33mm (635x245), to have natural light inside
the docking area.

1.2.4. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Here we describe some requirements and limitations imposed by the projects of the
various specialties and further indications of the promoter.

- The pillars connect to the foundation by anchor bolts on threaded rod with nuts
fixed to the base plate.

- To support the pillars of the metal base plates will be provided with mooring
anchor bolts. The plates will be properly leveled and aligned perfectly.

- The coverage shall be adequately braced so that they can behave like a diaphragm,
thus having the ability to transmit horizontal forces to the main gateways.

- The links between the structural elements will be performed by screwing,

facilitating assembly operations. When you cannot make up for screwing will be
welded.

- The connections between beams and between the pillars and beams are made
through thick test plates, welded to the profiles in and influenced by high strength
bolts.

- The protection of the steel structure against corrosion will be as follows: Hot dip
galvanizing with a thickness of 70 microns.

1.4.4.1. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION OF REFRIGERATION
INSTALLATION

Taking into account the location of the work, we propose an installation

composed of split type groups, working with R404A refrigerant. The following
description of data should be considered approximate, with final review by the
INFRISA.
We propose a simple installation with individual circuits and effective fluid
R404A by split groups (separated), with fully condensing units installed at the
factory in the same block.
• Each of the chambers n.º 2 to n.º 7, have 2 to 4 groups split evaporators. The
bi-temperature chamber will have a group with two evaporators.
• The Anteroom and the Loading/Unloading will have one independent group
each with:
- 3 evaporators ceiling of double effect in the anteroom.
- 6 ceiling evaporators of double effect in the Loading/Unloading

Each group split will be located next to each camera, and will incorporate:
- The compressor area.
- The oil separator zone.
- Zone the oil cooler air.
- Zone the condenser air.
- Liquid container in the Zone.
- The Zone Saver (sub-cooler coolant to increase efficiency: more power with
less fuel)
- The zone control unit with automatic option / mechanics.
- The load of oil.
- Charge the refrigerant R-404-A.

We include the supply of all wiring from the electrical external equipment
block to each evaporator.

Maintenance is greatly facilitated in all equipment, very affordable, with

mechanical control option for ease of maintenance, including the delivery of
spare parts for 2 year basic maintenance (fans, solenoids, resistors, filters,
minor electrical equipment)

Since each frozen chamber has frozen two independent condenser groups, we
afford to a high operational safety. With a single device it will be possible to
maintain a controlled temperature of each chamber, with no entries of

product.

The total supply will be from 15 to 16 groups split (2 in each Negative

Temperature Chamber, 1 in the Bi-Temperature Chamber, 1 in the Anteroom
and 1 in the Loading/Unloading). Final number to be set by INFRISA.
