Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).

Concept/Skill: Students will be able to learn all the sounds that the individual letters make
and the syllables that are created with the vowels. They will learn how to segment words
by those sounds in order to decode words as they read in order to establish literacy.
