Dear Human Resources Director or Administrator,

I am very happy to write this letter of recommendation for Janelle Keller.

Mrs. Keller is always positive, eager to learn and serve her students to the best of her ability, and
self-reflective. She teaches in a first grade ICT classroom in Buffalo Public Schools and works very
well with the special education teacher. She continually put the students and their learning and well-
being first and is one of the most dedicated, positive, and knowledgeable teachers I've ever worked
with. Always a professional, she made the best of any situation, challenge, or mandate and never lost
sight of her students' needs. In addition, she is very knowledgeable about the disabilities of the
students she serves and their IEP goals.

Janelle serves on the Character Counts/PBIS Team for the school and is also a building union
representative. She is always willing to help with anything and has a positive attitude when asked to
do something. Mrs. Keller communicates with parents frequently and in multiple ways, and she
would often meet with them during the school day when they had questions or concerns.

I observed Mrs. Keller on many occasions, both formally and informally and read her lesson plans on
a bi-weekly basis. She plans with her students' needs in mind and teaches most of her lessons in
small groups. Lessons are differentiated, scaffolded, and multi-faceted, and she collaborates and
communicates consistently with her co-teacher. Every activity is tied to the standards and student
performance data is used in future planning.

Mrs. Keller would be an asset to your school or district in any elementary grade level, and I
especially recommend her for ICT classes because she works so well with others and understands
how a co-teaching model is supposed to work. She is highly creative, organized, caring, patient, and
enthusiastic. If I were a principal, I would want Mrs. Keller to work for me.
