I am pleased to be writing a letter of recommendation for Rachel McNerney. Rachel worked as a teacher
cadet in my classroom from October 2019 through March 2020. While working in my classroom, Rachel had a
positive attitude, was inquisitive and eager to learn, and grew in her ability to take initiative.

Rachel consistently had a positive attitude in the classroom and was always a willing worker. No matter the
task I had for her she was always ready to help out. Even the smallest and most tedious of tasks she tackled
with positivity. Rachel not only had a positive attitude with myself and the other adults in the classroom, but
with the students as well. No matter the demeanor of the child, she always kept a positive state of mind.

Another strength is Rachel’s inquisitiveness. She was never afraid to ask questions for either clarification or
out of interest. However, she always did so at appropriate times. Rachel took this learning role seriously and
took advantage of the opportunity to talk with and learn from myself and the other adults in the classroom.
This eagerness to learn is an asset that I appreciate about Rachel and I believe will serve her well throughout
her life.

This approach to learning has really cultivated growth during her time helping in my classroom. Rachel has
become more comfortable taking initiative when she sees that something needs to be done around the room.
Her confidence in working with the students has also grown. It was such a great experience to see her
develop more in her role and see how far she has come since she first started in October.

Rachel has a positive attitude, is eager to learn, and has grown in her abilities during her time helping in my
