Jenna Lowney has asked me a letter describing her leadership skills, work ethic and aptitude for teaching. It is a
pleasure for me to do this as I believe Jenna is a wonderful student who deserves recognition for her abilities.
Jenna is an independent self-starter. While she has no trouble working in groups, or interacting with
others, she can also work well on her own. Furthermore, she is mature and personable. Jenna is a born
leader. Students look to her as someone they can trust as well as look up to. She has a way with making
people feel comfortable in her presence and therefore making them willing to work for her or beside her.
In fact, her personality and leadership skills will no doubt help her to achieve success in the field of
education.
I had the opportunity to work with Jenna for 3 years during her high school career and found her to be an
extremely hard worker who takes pride in everything that she does. Jenna was one of the few students who went
above and beyond; always making her she had the best lesson plans and was meticulously prepared to teach each
day. It was a joy to work with Jenna because I always knew I could count on her to be organized and ready to go.
As far as aptitude for teaching, you will find no better student prepared for this journey. In addition be a leader
and hard worker, Jenna is very congenial person, well liked by teachers and fellow students alike. She
understands the difference between sympathy and empathy and I have seen her use both when working with
children. Jenna has a deep desire to make a difference in the life of a child and knows that being a teacher if just
as wonderful as it is terrifying. I am so proud of Jenna and know that she will be a wonderful teacher.
