Cover Letter

Dear Miss,

We are PROSHAR, we make fertilizers that are produced in a rigorously sustainable and

environmentally friendly way. It all started with a simple observation from our very

favorite place to sit and chat at the Tea Stall. We noticed the huge amount of tea leaf

waste and other degradable wastes that are being washed down the drains of our cities.

Despite the fact that a lot of rich nutrients can still be extracted from these waste

materials and can be used for the betterment of plant health. At PROSHAR we do exactly

that. From the humble beginnings of our idea to plan to completely disrupt the field of

fertilizers that are produced from the same ingredients that are used to pollute our cities.

Unlike our competitors in the market we aim to make the fertilizers cheaper as the raw

materials are easy to collect. We also aim to make our product more beneficial for plants

as it will be filled with rich nutrients that are vital for a plants growth and well being. We

are hopeful that with our excellent marketing strategies we would be able to convey our

core message to the urban planters and nursery owners and capture the market at pace.

Executive Summary

The aim of this proposal is to outline a plan to succeed in the Bangladesh fertilizer

market. Through top notch marketing and distribution strategies PROSHAR is aiming to

disrupt the fertilizer market with its flagship product the PROSHAR fertilizer. Our

customers will mainly be urban adults who are interested in or already involved in small

sector farming either in their roofs or in their gardens. Also our noteworthy clients will

be nursery owners and businesses with their primary production source is plantation

and farming. We are laying out a plant to grow fast and learn from the market. We are

willing to continuously improve our product by closely monitoring customer’s wants.

Our fertilizers will be produced mostly from wastes that are produced by urban

environments. We are going to make sure the degradable products that our city classifies

as waste will not go to waste. Our core mission is to make the environment more

sustainable and healthy to live in.

Statement of the Problem

The fertilizer scene in Bangladesh has some significant flaws. We need to grow more

than ever now. Applying more fertilizers can help but the fertilizers that are currently in

use are harmful for the environment. Farmers typically fertilize crops in two ways. They

spray fields with ammonia, urea or other substances that generate the nutrient nitrogen

when they react with water. And they apply granules of potash or other minerals to

produce phosphorus, also in reaction to water. Although these fertilizers are rich with

nutrients most of the nutrients do not reach the plants instead it spreads in the

atmosphere. Moreover urban gardeners need a cheaper and more effective way to keep

their plants healthy instead of these commercial fertilizers. There is a gaping hole in the

market, a need for smart and lightweight fertilizers that both fits in the ecosystem and

can help grow plants with relative ease. A fertilizer that is a smarter solution than

current fertilizers and also one which keeps in mind the wellbeing of the environment.

PROSHAR is going to fill that need of the market. PROSHAR is a system which turns city

waste into nutrients that can go back to the ecosystem. We offer a fertilizer that is perfect

for the urban gardeners. Its safe for the environment and the user and also a very

effective way to grow plants

Approach

We take produced waste from food distributors and process them so that they turn into

organic fertilizers for the farm. We will make the compost from these materials and

package it for selling. The details of the whole process of turning waste into fertilizers

will be on our business plan. Our Key Partners will be food distributors who will

provide us with their waste materials. Activities are the production process, the

distribution of our goods and customer consultancy which will improve our customer

relations. We are going to push our product through the shelves of our trusted local

vendors. We are also planning to have standalone stalls in supermarkets that will only

offer our products. We are hoping our lower price and eco friendly approach will attract

a lot of customers to buy our products. We are mainly going to focus on urban gardeners

and people who are interested in gardening but do not know where to start. Our ultimate

goal is to establish a system pipeline through which all the degradable wastes come in

and through our production process and distribution channels we can create value by

producing a fertilizer that is both organic and more effective than all the other fertilizers

in our market.
