We are going to need these ingredients:
250 grams of rice. 500 mililtres of milk. 500 mililtres of water. 150 grams of sugar. 1 cinnamon stick. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. ½ cup double cream. Preparation 1. Soak the rice in the water for at least 2 hours. 2. In a medium saucepan, place the milk, water, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. 3. Place over medium heat and bring to boil. 4. Add the rice and leave to cook for 30 minutes or until the rice is soft, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. 5. When the mixture begins to bubble, lower the heat and add the double cream and cook for other 5 minutes. 6. Cool slightly before serving. Note: serve with cinnamon powder, raisins or blackberry jam or other fruit.
