What it is Decreed that Every Male and Female Muslim must have Knowledge of
by Imaam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhaab

The Three Principles which it is Obligatory upon every Male and Female Muslim to Understand

They are: That the servant knows his Lord, his religion, and his
Prophet, Muhammad, may Allaah’s praise and salutations be upon him.

If it is said to you: Who is your Lord? Then say: My Lord is Allaah,

who has nurtured me and all of the creation with His blessings and

beneficence. He is the only one I worship, there is nothing worthy of
being worshipped other than Him.

If it is said to you: What is your religion? Then say: My religion is

al-Islaam, and it is to submit to Allaah alone, with at-tawheed-
joining none along with Him in worship, and complying with Him with
obedience, and being free from associating others with Allaah and
those who do so.

If it is said to you: Who is your Prophet? Then say: Muhammad ibn

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdal-Mutalab ibn Haashim; and Haashim is from the
tribe of Quraish, and Quraish is from the Arabs, and the Arabs are
from the descendents of Ismaa’eel ibn Ibraaheem, upon them both, and
upon our Prophet the best of praise and salutations.
